There was a good turn out for our 12th Annual General Meeting and much to celebrate as we move into our 9th year on air.

Don Ripper

Don, a Justice of the Peace has had a varied career having commenced his working life as a photographer and then an air traffic controller in the R.A.A.F.

For 13 years Don was administrator at Kilmany Park. He is proud of his part in the establishment, after a six year closure, of a private enterprise welfare program for homeless, helpless, jobless young people at Kilmany Park, which provided training, housing and employment without external funding.

Don has been, or is still active in numerous committees and organisations. He has been President of Avon Shire Council, District Governor of Apex, Chairman of Sale High School, Chair of the Gippsland Council of Adult Community and Further Education, Deputy Chair of The Gippsland East Local Learning and Employment Network, President of Sale Rotary and Vice President of VEDA.

Don is employed as Manager Strategic Development at Community College Gippsland. He and wife Judith have three adult children.

Interests outside of work include: Local history, ornithology, yachting, photography, computing and bushwalking.

 

Ivy Goodwin

Ivy is an ordained minister of the Uniting Church and recently retired as minister of the Stratford parish and now worships at St. Andrew’s in Maffra where she has become involved in the School Breakfast Programme.

She and her husband Morris have a corgi dog named Muppet as well as an arthritic (beautiful, old) cat named Oscar.


They have three married children, and four grandchildren who keep them up to date with “Hairy McLairy”.

 

 

 

 

Malcolm McKenzie (re-nomination)

Malcolm has been in senior management roles for the past 17 years in the Government and private sector including Regional Manager for CFA Gippsland . He is also a Director of Bridge Builders Ltd.

Malcolm holds a Masters Degree in Management, is a Graduate Member of Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has a Graduate Diploma in Risk Management.

He lives in Melbourne and is a member of Careforce Church Mt Evelyn, but still maintains links with Gippsland through familiy and business. Malcolm currently works as a Management Consultant across Victoria.
